This Sunday, August 9, 2026, Larry Hans closed the short season he set aside to share the legacy of La Virgen de Nazaret with the Marian world: the eleven o'clock morning Mass at the church of the Immaculate Conception, in his native Heredia, and then an afternoon with his family, with the album playing in the background.
The album was released on July 31, 2026, as scheduled, after more than three years in the making. To be able to see it off, the singer of “Madre de Dios” leaned on colleagues at the law firm Bufete de Costa Rica, who covered his duties as a litigator — and so he could give a few days to a small, deliberately modest promotion.
That promotion happened, above all, among priest friends and family, with a few private online events for the groups that have followed this movement since the Marian spark of May 21, 2022. With them the artist had clear commitments: they are the ones who helped, all through the process, to make the album real. Because it is not all chords and drums: sometimes a conversation — or even a confession with the priest of his nearby church — is the spark of a good chorus, of a good melody.
This Sunday, after the eleven o'clock Mass at the Immaculate Conception church, the artist withdrew with his family to close the week in a special way: a barbecue with La Virgen de Nazaret in the background — though we must confess that unreleased songs were heard too, songs that may never be recorded.
The afternoon closed with laughter, remembering how in the comments some people attacked the artist for acknowledging the use of artificial intelligence in some instrumental chains and in the album's poster and supporting artwork. He himself left the answer in one comment among many: “If you think it is 100% AI — but that AI touched your heart, then for me, as a layman who decided to compose, sing and produce an album for Mama Mary, that alone, knowing it touched your heart, is enough. God bless you.”
